What's in a Teacher's Bag?

I have read lots of articles and blogs featuring someone's bag and what's in it. For a typical woman, there would be a cosmetic kit, gadget, wallet, etc. Then I started thinking, "Why not feature what's inside my bag? What's inside a teacher's bag?"

Check out if there would be any difference!

I'm a fan of oversize, large tote bags where I can just throw in all my essentials. This carry-all bag in tan from Parisian has been my everyday school buddy these days.

Well, as you see, this is not your ordinary bag. It contains everything that I need to make it through the day.

The following are the contents of my bag:

Small Journal / Notebook - This is essential for taking down notes such as just-popped-in-bright-ideas, minutes of the meeting, to-do-lists, reminders, etc.

Language in Literature I - an English textbook for Grade 7

2013 Calendar  - This is where I schedule my everyday lesson before I materialize them. I am also using this to take note of any school related schedule and activities.

2013 Planner - Now, this one is strictly for personal life schedule and activities.
FYI: we, teachers, have a life outside school. :)

Class Record - Truly, it's a teacher's mate!

Piles of Students' Seat Work - Our work does not end in school. We take them home.
Just like students, we also have homework. :)

Pencil Case , Pens and Pencils of Different Colors and Sizes, Liquid Eraser, Markers, USB, Scissors, and Post-it

It's a Girl Thing!

Pink Pouch containing Coin Purse / Wallet, Card Holder - Organizer, and A-Not-So-High-End-Cellphone :)

Umbrella - rain or shine must have!

Extra Bag - for take home works

As for my laptop, I have to hand-carry it.

So, there you have it! These are all the things inside my bag. What's inside yours?

Sisterly Love

Meet my sisters - Marishelle, the eldest and Maria Carmela, the youngest among us three.

Sister is probably the most competitive relationship within the family, but once sisters are grown, it becomes the strongest relationship.

I am a Teacher

As I was checking and browsing my students' stage play documentation, I came across this particular picture. In this picture, I was in front of the class explaining the last minute instructions before their stage play performance.

The photo struck and hit me. It made me think that teaching, really, is not just a job nor a career,  but it is a lifetime commitment - a noble profession, they would say.

As Bill Gates stated, "Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important."

Fashion For Less #ootd

We can always be fashionable without breaking the bank nor sacrificing our budget. You just have to be inspired by your style icons and look around for an affordable pieces so you can deliver the style you would want to achieve - and do not forget the confidence!

I, for one, am a huge bargain hunter and an "ukay" (second hand pieces) lover- raiding one thrift shop to another and running from one store "sale" to another just to get the perfect match in a low budget!

Here is my outfit of the day (going to the mall) - achieving fashion in a budget friendly way. :)

Star - studded top from Ukay Store for P100

Parisian Tote Bag - sale at P399

Ballet Flats at P150 - Marikina shoe Bazaar

Brown Walking Shorts from Ukay Store for less than a hundred

New Beginning

The New Year has always been the perfect opportunity to welcome changes.
Cliche as it may sound, we traditionally look at New Year as "new beginnings."

My new beginning is beginning something new. Huh?

As for my new beginning checklist, I will look forward to try new things: hobbies, adventure, etc.
My first list: creating a blog. I am so happy that I have started creating this blog. I hope I can keep up.

Next is this: doodling.

This is my sister creating her masterpiece. It's actually her who introduced the idea of enjoying doodling to me.

I was actually surprise, when she came home with a sketch notebook and a set of pastel colors in a paper bag. I have questions like, "What is this for?" and "What are you thinking?"

She finished it off by attaching her signature as if a professional painter.

Not bad for a starter, right?

And now, my turn, my masterpiece.

I do not know what this is. Well, anyway, this is the idea of doodling; an aimless - casual scribble.

New Year resolution or new beginning does not have to be big time you know. Why complicate things when you can actually simplify them? We can always start little by little.

Model Wannabes

We are not professional models.
The following photos are for photography experiments purposes only.
So please do not judge us.
Hahaha.

Along with my best buds, Eduard and  Sherry, we bravely strike a pose to our photographer JM Cadiao (Sherry's boyfriend.)

It's as if we don't know what we are doing.
Forgive us, we are not models; we are teachers.

Eduard is really modelling like a PRO!

We are trying to create a "Penshoppe" shot!

This is one of my favorite shots.

We are children at hearts.

It was a fun day!
We got to be a model for a day.
It's a tough job, I would say.
